The Cover Arts looks impressive (Image Courtesy: Lioncomics.com), hopefully we will get to see both Muthu and Comics Classics before August. I don't remember reading either of these stories, so it makes for a good wait.

Dear Rafiq,
All the stress & tensions build due to all the late night meetings that am having for the last fortninght, seems to get over whenever i see your Blog. You seem to amaze us with the kind of updations that you do. I sincerely appreciate your dedication.
It seems that M/s Prakash publishers have also taken a cue from you & they have updated their home page as well.
Cheers & All the best.

I have read these stories 15-20 years back and the story "Moolai Thirudargal" was published again in the mid 1990's. A great story.
by the way I saw you blog about Cowboy special and it is wonderful.
I also saw the muthufanblog page and what he is doing is amazing.
Dear Rafiq,Thanks for linking my blog...i find your site quite informative one...keep the good work going.
Dear Rafiq,
It's nice to read your blog, which gives more information about the great commic.

Viswa: You always make it first to visit our blog. Hope I will keep the momentum for updating atleast once in two weeks.
Vethalan: If that was released on mid 90's then I would have read it, but since I don't have the collection of that period now, hard to recollect. So, eager to see them getting published soon.
Comic Guy: You are always welcome. Hope to see your comments often on our blog.
Mahesh: Thanks for the comments. Looking forward for your next visit.
Rafiq,do you know about the Rani comics which publishes Phantom comics still now...!!!if yes, then is the Rani comics still in publication or not?
Comic Guy: I have a complete list of all the Phantom stories "published" in Rani Comics. Unfortunately, the "past-tense" denotes that Rani Comics is no more alive and kicking :(. It stopped publication with Issue #500 on 16-Apr-05.
I am planning to write an article about Rani Comics sooner, meanwhile, if you want to know anything about that let me know.
#Rafiq:Is there any way to get the back phantom issues of Rani comics??
I am pretty sure, Rani Comics publishers won't have any back issues now... but Rani Comics is available in plenty in second hand bookshops. If you want, I can put a word to ERB of Chennai, who has few sources, and can get you some sets.
If you can please help in some way for this i shall be grateful to you.Though i don't understand other languages other than English/Hindi/Urdu but still i would love to have Phantom comics in any language.
Let me know your mail id so that we can proceed further through mails in this matter.
Regards
editor vijayan work is really good one. because old issues second sale rate is very high and very rare . but he give rs.5/- per books at a time 2 old books are released. thanks a lot to vijayan
hi rafiq ,
ur blog looks really great... i grew up reading lion and muthu comics.. happy to see fellow comic book lovers..
anyway u know where to get these iceberg and star comics... their web pages are very less informative.....
Thiaga: Indeed, Vijayan is doing a great job in releasing the erstwhile classics for a bargain price. Infact, I started reading comics only from early 80's, so many of the classics referred by fellow readers like Muthufan is new to me. So every Comics classics is a treasure to behold. I only sincerely hope that Vijayan also thinks from a Collectors point of View, and release few classics with hard bound at a premium price, easy to save for long. Again, it's something which doesn't seem to be on top priority for him, citing marketing reasons.
Sundar:It's always so Good to hear from another comic reader. As far as Star, and Iceberg goes, I do understand that they don't have informative sites. But that's mainly because they dont have certain dates or regular monthly publishings of their issues, hence non-commital about them in public. Currently the distribution network in Chennai is managed by Viswanathan. You can reach him for latest copies.
