@ Siv: I long realized that touching Tamil Comics alone would take us nowhere as far as improving our comics hobby is concerned. It's true they paved the way by introducing so many characters, and now it's time we use that base and explore the other great characters outside the horizon, especially when so many International Comics brands are fighting-in for their share in India.

Good that fellow comikers like you have always been appreciative towards our common passion. :)

@ Cap Tiger: ஐஸ் ஏஜ் 3 ஐ இன்னும் பார்க்கவில்லை... முதல் இரண்டு பாகங்களில் ரசித்ததை வைத்து பார்க்கையில், அது காமிக்ஸ் வடிவத்திலும் சக்கை போடு போடலாம் என்றே எண்ணுகிறேன். பார்ப்போம் ஏதாவது காமிக்ஸ் கம்பெனி இந்தியாவில் அவற்றை அறிமுகபடுத்துமா என்று... சமீபத்தில் போல்ட் படத்தை தழுவிய காமிக்ஸ்களை வெஸ்ட்லேன்ட் வெளியிட தொடங்கி இருப்பதை பார்த்தீர்களா.... விரைவில் ஒரு பதிவில் அதை எல்லோருக்கும் அறிமுகம் செய்து வைக்கிறேன்.

வருகைக்கும் கருத்துக்கும் நன்றி தோழா.

@ KK: That's a nice comparison of American vs Rest genre of Comics to WWF & Wimbledon. The only difference is that while people agree that they are different they give so much attention to each of them during the time. Which is the same I expect to see from our comics readers. It's time they venture out of the IJC which inspired their comics reading. Only then, we could truly say that we are keeping our interests alive.

I would be the happiest of the lot, even if 1 person who comments on a post, says that they were inspired to buy the book I review. That's the utmost satisfaction you can get for any work of yours :)

It seems we both think alike :), which I don't see differing from friends who share a common passion towards Comics. Aren't they from the same old pool :) Thanks much for your return visit and comment, Friend.

P.S.: Commando is the longest running comic series based on War Stories, so no wonder it finds so many fan sites. I only wish they were also active in India, but we only get to see some old issues now and then :)

But basically be it Michael Jackson or the question of putting comics on the web, I find you articulating very well what I might have tried to say. :)

Re:American paradigmn and other ones. Basically to slighly exaggerate, I think the difference is between the WWF and Wimbledon. One is loud, colorful, larger than life and totally fake. The other is classy, rooted in traditions, and is more accurate guide to life. While wimbledon is about real men and women overcoming real obstacles through sheer grit, talent and hardwork, Asterik is about good-humoured co-existance and tolerance for the foibles of everyone including your friends and your own. :)

Re War comics:
A couple of years ago, it looked like only I remembered Commando comics, but now they too have a decent amount of fansites on web.

@ Liju: Thanks for those nice words about our blog. Tamil Comics scenario is really well versed with so many players running their own website, all of which you can find on my Comics BlogRoll.

As far as Malayalam Comics concerned, Why look for another, when there is man passionate like you towards Comics, is right there in Kerala. I keep hearing about some good comic strips coming out of Kerala, and would love to see them, if you could start sharing probably in you own blog.

If you find it tiresome, to get starting on our own, you can also pass them to me, which I will have it featured with proper credits to you.

I don't expect to run Comicology all on my own. So you and others can also be contributors too my friend. The aim of this blog is too unite all comic lovers, isn't it ? :)

@ Vineeth: Dear Friend, Thanks for those kind words about our blog. I rate friends words as equal to any other mentions on website or articles, as they are the one who stand along with you throughout your journey.

Good to know that my blog has let me gather so many friends, some of whom I didn't even meet yet in person.

I also look forward for those days, when kids get into the comic habit. I can see glimpses of that in comic shops, hopefully, the new gen would be reading these blogs to base their interest upon. Let's hope for the best for future :)

@ KK: Thanks for your comment KK Bhai. Iznogoud & Lucky Luke are the top most Franco-Belgian characters representing the comical genre. Good that you liked them.

I have also started re-reading the Asterix series. Humor is so well-paced at those series, you wonder how humorous the creators would have been in real life with their nears and dears. :)

Not only that, any comic I read pushes me back to atleast 10 years in age... No Time Machine can do that time and again :)

As you also said, most comic lovers simply read and enjoy only American Genre, which is the very paradigm I am trying to change, by introducing them to wealth of characters available elsewhere, most importantly from the beds of French/Belgium culture. Good that friends like you have shown support towards them.

By saying that, my choice is not for only adventure, and humour :). But also other stuffs like Detective, War/Battle, Superheroes... some of which you could find at our very blog itself. Basically, I am a FanBoy to say the least :). About War/Battle, there is a post pending for long. Stay Tuned :)

P.S.: Accha huah ke mai ladki nahi nikal pada.... waise ho gaya to aapse bachna to bahut mushkeel ho jaata ;)

I would love to restrict all comments in my blog to a common language, but at the same don't want to stop the enthusiasm of people prefering their choice of language to communicate freely. As far as it is within the 3 languages I know, I don't have issues :)

As said before, if there is anything important being discussed in the comment section, you can count me to add that as necessary info on the blog post itself for all others. So, no one would be missing anything important :)

The blogging is the most powerful tool at present, so it's natural that media is paying attention to it. I only hope that this attention, only leads to more quality blog posts, and pushes us to keep the flame glowing.
